Last Harvest - Hog Pen and Broken Leg

We harvested on last Syrah this morning. The weather was stunning.

Broken Leg is a very steep vineyard high above the Anderson Valley. The steep slopes and good wind mitigated the previous weeks rain leaving us a week of bright sunshine to finish the ripening.

Both clones, Shiraz and Durell, tasted great with solid sugar and good acid.

Our Syrah Noir, from upper Hog Pen, also was picked this morning. It is slightly riper, with more acid and very dark color. Should be a great year for both wines.
